We have just harvested our Sangiovese for rosé 2025, and are grateful that the Pickett Fire hasn’t impacted our vineyards in Sonoma. Our hearts go out to the growers in Napa, where CBS News reports that 1,500 acres of crops have been affected, with 20% of the grapes damaged by heat and fire and 80% by smoke, with an early estimate of damage at $65 million.

The next harvest will be our Sauvignon Blanc grapes, followed by Cabernet Sauvignon by the end of September or in early October.

Sangiovese grapes picked for Rosé at first sunlight, checking the pH (3.25 is perfect) and pressing it just 30 minutes on the skins to get the beautiful light pink color-which will lighten more during fermentation.

2025 Come share a glass of wine at these events:

Wine tasting by Appointment: $25/person for wine tasting. This fee is waived for club members or for those who join during the tasting.

Oct 11 12 pm or 1 pm: Wine and chocolate pairing. I'm collaborating with Modern Desserts by Alexis to offer a unique experience: small savoury as well as four chocolate bites, all matched with our wines. The cost is $70/person, with a minimum of 4 guests per tasting.

Available on Saturdays, 2-3 pm Wine, Mushroom Ed & Barrel Tasting: Savour our current wines and indulge in a barrel tasting experience. Afterwards, you can learn about mushroom hunting with a demonstration of scent training with our special pups, Chloe & Scout. This will include a bottle of our Sangiovese to take home. $150/person, with a minimum of 4 guests. Schedule your tasting experience below. This is a unique team-building or corporate holiday event.
